Immersion rinsing units

Directly after the production of components or a previous cleaning process, solid particles or chemical residues sometimes remain on the surface of the items to be cleaned. These interfere with further processing and must be removed in sinks.

The immersion sinks of the RATIONAL SPseries can be modified according to the degree of soiling.

  • Supporting ultrasound is used to dissolve small particles from the surfaces
  • Heating of the rinsing liquid by means of electric heaters
  • Oscillating movements lead to a better mixing of the cleaning liquid and thus promote the cleaning effect.
  • With the help of ion exchangers (conversion into deionised water), the cleaning quality during rinsing can be additionally improved.

Due to the modifications, the sinks can either be operated individually or combined with ultrasonic cleaning sinks and dryers to form cleaning lines.

Cascade rinsing unit

As soon as a very high degree of cleanliness is required for the further processing of your parts, we recommend the use of a cascade rinsing unit. This consists of at least two rinsing basins which are coupled together. The rinsing is carried out according to the counterflow principle, i.e. the rinsing direction is opposite to the flow direction of the rinsing water. In this way you achieve a successively finer rinsing and at the end you have: Your clean product.

The advantages of the cascade sink include

  • Several rinsing processes increase the cleaning effect
  • coarse residues are removed in the first basin, further rinsing processes follow in the following basins
  • By filtering and reusing the rinse water you effectively save water
  • Supporting ultrasound and oscillating movements additionally improve the rinsing effect

The cascade rinse can be used separately as well as within a cleaning line. Appropriate pre-cleaning reduces carry-over and the products achieve a very high degree of purity.

    Spray rinsing basin

For quick preliminary or intermediate cleaning, the use of a spray rinse from the RATIONAL -SPR series can be useful. With the aid of spray lances, rinsing water is applied under (high) pressure to the contaminated or pre-cleaned components. The components can then be rinsed, ultrasonically cleaned or dried in a further process.

The advantages of a spray rinse are among others

    • Higher throughput due to a fast rinsing process
    • 100% control when rinsing the components to be cleaned
    • Efficient removal of coarse particles
    • Cost-effective solution for light, non-solid soiling

    Overview of flushing options

    • Immersion of the items to be cleaned in appropriate equipment
    • Flexible design of the basins
    • Extensions for circulation of the flushing liquid
    • Installation of a fabric movement with basket support possible
    • Robust & easy to maintain
